CARPET PYTHON

  • Carpet Pythons are medium sized pythons native to Australia and almost all of it expect Tasmania. Their habitat ranges from wet tropical Rainforests to dry arid deserts. They typically grow to a size of 2-3 metres in length so require a large enclosure!

    They are a semi arboreal species which means they will utilize climbing space so make sure these guys are given not only horizontal space but also vertical space to allow climbing!

    Carpet pythons are known for their unpredictable and snappy attitude but they can be tamed down with regular handling and persistence, they make for amazing displays if setup properly!

      • Carpet Pythons are actually semi-arboreal so will appreciate some height to their enclosure

      • Note: Glass tanks (such as fishtanks) are NOT suitable for Pythons

    • Hermann's Tortoises are a diurnal species and require a suitable light and heat gradient in the enclosure to simulate a complete 24-hour period

    • Overhead UV basking lamp required

    • No additional light source required if using a UV basking lamp

  • Young/Juvenile/Adult offer a varied diet daily such as:

    • A handful of fresh weeds, flowers, leafy greens, daily

    Follow a supplementation regime that involves calcium and multivitamin powders
